The Colour It Up Program is a community-based program designed to help women aged 25-45 and their families to eat more vegetables and fruit. We organized this program in March and April 2008. Our sessions were held at Rose Avenue Public School where we were able to use the community kitchen facilities as well as the classroom space provided the Parenting and Familiy Literacy Centre. The program ran once a week for six weeks. Each weekly session lasted about two hours. In each session there were discussions, activities, recipes and snacks that help overcome challenges and build confidence in the ability to eat more vegetables and fruit.
